In this digest we would like to tell you about our continuing work on improvements and fixes in the game. You can find information about all updates that have been released in War Thunder on the website special section.
FAIR PLAY
We’re working hard to promote fair play in War Thunder which is carried out in several directions, for example the fight against forbidden modifications and automation of gameplay.
Each month we share information about accounts that have been banned for cheating or for violating the TOS. We thank you for actively reporting players who aren’t playing by the rules: it really helps us! You can use the battle replay function on our website to report players who you suspect have violated the game’s Terms of Service and the License Agreement.
Recently, we’ve been working on improving our measures against cheaters. We won’t go into the details, but rest assured you can expect more cheaters to be banned in future Fair Play articles.
BANNED ACCOUNTS
The full list of these banned players.
Since our last fair play (5 March 2025), we’ve banned 5790 accounts that were found to have violated the rules. Specifically 3.2.3 of the EULA namely in the automation of gameplay (using bots) and cheat software.
For complete transparency, we’re publishing the full list of these banned players. This list will be available for two weeks after the publication of this article.
We recommend that you set a strong password for your account and enable two-step authentication in your profile security settings. We have the following 2FA options available: email, SMS, TOTP (Gaijin Pass/Google Authenticator), and Telegram bot, which we suggest trying if SMS 2FA messages are not reaching you.
We’d also suggest that you turn on 2FA for the email that is linked to your Gaijin account for additional security, as this will protect your account from fraudsters. And remember, don’t use prohibited client modifications and never share your account information with anyone.
Infantry and Expanded Tech Trees in War Thunder!
Introducing a revolutionary update! The long awaited and highly requested addition of infantry to the battlefields of War Thunder is finally here!
We’re always striving to push the boundaries of our game — an online military combat simulator that brings to life legendary weaponry from various eras. That’s why War Thunder is about to grow not only in depth with the introduction of armored vehicles and aircraft from World War I, but also in scale, with infantry now joining the fight!
What does this mean?
Very soon, a large-scale closed beta test of infantry will begin. We’ll share more details about the tech trees, weaponry, gear, and gameplay features in future devblogs. But in THE NEXT 24 HOURS, you'll have your first chance to take part in test battles featuring infantry during a special event dedicated to World War I.
It’s time to see war from a completely new perspective. You’re already familiar with the devastating power of machines — on land, in the sky, and at sea. But everything is about to change when infantry, the true decisive force of the battlefield, finally enters the fray.
Get ready for all new battles like you’ve never seen before, and stay tuned for updates.
Forward, soldiers!

FOLLOWING THE ROADMAP: SKILL BONUSES IN RP & SELECTABLE NIGHT BATTLES!
We’re continuing to follow the Roadmap that we released in June. Skill bonuses in RP have arrived in the “Kings of Battle” major update, and optional night battles and their rewards will be enabled soon in a future small update, which we’ll announce. Today, we’d like to explain the details surrounding these two mechanics. We fully appreciate the patience that you’ve had while waiting for these as well as the feedback you left. Let’s dive into the details.

NICKNAME DISPLAY UNIFICATION
The displaying of nicknames for all Gaijin users has been unified.
Added support for Unicode letters and numbers that allows the vast majority of nicknames from Steam to look unchanged in Gaijin services. If you encounter any issues, please report them on community.gaijin.net.

NEW VISUAL EFFECTS IN THE SONS OF ATTILA UPDATE!
New trees and wind effects — Shots and explosions — Destroyable ammo and decorators — Aircraft voice warning systems — Realistic HUD for helicopters
We’re introducing a brand new technology for the trees present on Ground Forces battlefields.
In our efforts to make tank battles even more spectacular, the game will now have new effects for the discharge of powder gasses after every shot. Prolonged bursts of machine gun fire and autocannons now also lead to reddening of the barrels due to heating. The effects of hits to enemy vehicles have also been improved.
On modern aircraft, voice informant warnings will now be present on those aircraft that had them. Pilots will be able to hear them both in third-person view and while playing from the cockpit. “Bitchin’ Betty” will warn you about dangerous altitudes, critical G-force overloads, warning signals from the radar warning receiver, and alert you to the readiness of guided weapons on the aircraft.
The cockpits of modern helicopters will now also be equipped with fully functional HUDs similar to what some aircraft already have. The first helicopters to receive the new HUDS are the Ka-50/52, Mi-28N/NM and Mi-35M series of helicopters.
